    Hi all.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use my sky card from my own sky box in a different sky box that's had sky tv cancelled in another house for a few days.

Going to visit friends next weekend so will need tv in case of bad weather!

    Thanks:)

Wot jhegarty said, if it is not tied to the phoneline for multiroom, just bring your box with you.

Why dont you just bring your own box in the car with you. That way you will have access to all the premium stuff also. Only take's a minute to disconnect the box.

Note that while your home Sky card works, your home TV licence doesn't :)

The WX does look like being bad, but given TV schedules you may want a DVD player and bunch of disks too!

Good idea but quiet risky as I am extremely forgetful so the card will be cheaper to send by post if left behind.:D

I went to France in May and brought my Sky card. The villa I stayed in advertised that it had Sky TV. When I arrived the Sky box had no card inserted. BBC1 was the channel at 101. I switched the box off, inserted my own card and powered up the box. It searched for listings and then I had channels as if I was at home (101=RTE1, etc). At the time I didn't subscribe to any sports or movie channels so I can't say whether or not these work.
