Apparently my new laptop has a DVD burner on it but it won't let me burn any DVDs. What am I doing wrong?

What kind of DVD are you trying to burn? (data DVD? movie DVD?)

What program are you using to burn?

Are you using a recordable DVD?

Try using Nero. It is relativly easy to use. Failing on that it could be a hardware or blank media issue.
