    Okay, right now the authority has plans for service stations on the M1 (www.m1.ie), M3, M4, M6, M7, M8, M9 and M11

    http://www.nra.ie/Publications/ServicesAreasEIS/M1SouthMotorwayServiceArea/file,14391,en.pdf

But what about the M20 and M18? And would you agree with their choice of service area locations.

For example, I think the two proposed service areas on the M8 are too close together. I also think the northern M9 service area should be on the M7 instead.

Where else should service areas be provided or what changes would you make to the existing proposed areas...

M18s (and M17, M6s) shoved onto the interchange is just a traffic generator and is silly.

Needs one probably halfway between Ennis and Gort, but thats all thats needed on the M18 I think.

On the M20, pop one between Buttevant and Charleville.

Not only that, but I don't see them getting much business there anyway. If you're heading from Dublin to Galway, you'll be near the end of your journey anyway and probably won't want to stop so close to your destination. Same if you're heading from Limerick on the M18.

I honestly don't know who the Service station is for. They'd be better just plonking two seperate stations onto the M6 and M18.
