PS3 Yellow Light Again, Considering getting a New one

Hi, I just got my PS3 repaired, Yellow light problem, now 3 days after collecting it, yellow lights back. Now obviously I will see about getting it repaired again(3mth warranty I think), however I have a feeling it won't be able to be repaired.
Question is does anyone know any good offers on PS3s, just a PS3 alone, no games, extras.
I was looking at a 40GB and an 80GB, is their any main difference apart from the size of the HDD(I will be putting my 250gig back in it hopefully)
So if anyone can help me, it would be great,
    Thanks in advance
    Paddy

I'm sorry for being a plonker ,but maybe try another drive when you get a new machine.
Maybe it's sucking too much power out of the rest of the system?

I was wondering, is my PS3 messing up due to using PlayTV to record TV, while playing games off my 250GB HDD? i.e., over heating?
Because before getting PlayTV none of this happened

People are having problems with certain hard drives ,the western digital scorpio drive was recommended to me by a few people.

You could always try fixing it considering its out of warranty you got nothing to lose.

if it can't be fixed and they gave you a warranty for those 3 months then i think you could be entitled to something such as a replacement.

From what I understand OP to mean by 3 month warranty, it is from the repair company giving 3 months on the repair work and therefore no replacement PS3.
OP might be entitled to a refund from repair company as it broke again while in their warranty.

Which would be the something part of what i said, the warranty is probably on the work done but he should be entitled to another repair or a refund on the work done.
