    Hi Guys

just a question, I recived my chorus/ntl package last monday and was quite surprised that all the channals were't on, ok so said mabie they might have put me on the wrong package, sent an e-mail on tuesday morning requesting a call back in relation to the package i was on (still none), so i rang them today about this and eventually got through and was told that if i wanted the package that i wanted in the first place it would cost me nearly E100 huh, when i spoke to the girl about it when setting up she had informed me that it would work out at E72, now at this stage i just want it pulled out and nothing more to do with them, so just wondering if there is a cooling down period of any sort that i can get out of the contract and yes i have read the contract and cant make head nor tail of it

In general I believe there is a 7 day cooling down period on all services purchased via distance selling, see here:

    http://www.eic.ie/legislation/distance_selling.htm

BTW what services did you want, e100 sounds very expensive, I don't think UPC have anything that expensive.

What chanells are "missings". the €32 euro a month sub gives you everything except the sky-movies/sky-sports and some of the permium chanells.

    sorry

the services they have me on are

    MMDS sports & movies
    MMDS digital value
    MMDS additional digital value

and also a second point in the kitchen

now the phone call went as

i have the top package on ski and i would like a price from you for the same package and a second point in the kitchen (ok knew i would loose certin channals) so the girl replyed it would work out at E72 p/m and that she would through in the second point for free, so i said ok id ring her back after i had spoken with the wife so she gave me a acc number so she could follow it up, so ok decided to take the offer and rang the girl back and ask about the kids channals while i was on and she told me they would all be included in the package ok cool, and thats it

if you need anymore info please shout

thanks for the info so far guys :)

with the value pack you dont get all the channels

Well according to their website, it should only be €72

    - Digital Max €32
    - Sky Sports and Movies €40

Multiroom is then a separate €8.50

Perhaps you also got Setanta which is an additional €18?

You need to ring back and find out why it is different.

However if you had Sky already, I can't imagine why you would sign up for UPC MMDS, it is more expensive while giving you far less channels and inferior picture and sound quality.
