Give him a day or two to respond to the email. If no response, use Paypal to start a dispute, and again give him a few days to respond. If still no response, escalate to a claim.

I don't think An Post can track items too well once they leave the country.

I sent an item a few weeks ago to UK, left Ireland, then for a week or more it said "Return to Sender" then a few days ago, I noticed it now says Signed for.

You might be able to track it on Italy's postal website, if you can find where it is.

If you can find their tracking service, then yes. Incoming foreign parcels are trackable on An Post's website, so I'd say it should be the same for outgoing. Of course, you're dependent on the capability and competence of the foreign handler.

    track it here:

    http://www.track-trace.com/post

you sent it registered, you should have been asked the value of the package when you sent it from the post office... emphasis on should. i really hope you were asked.

as they dial in the value into their computer, so in the event that it does get lost, you make your claim with an post. thats why you paid to have it sent registered.

now im not sure do they cover up to €500 though...

lastly i wouldnt get too worried, give it another while to turn up, i sent a ps3 back to america during the summer, took a while and said return to sender numerous times, then suddenly it said delivered and signed for.

    it'll work out either way

i wasnt asked the value of the package at all

    i went a post master
i was told wait till monday and see what happens

im really pissed off tbh whats the point of posting it registered post and a tracking number

it has been posted from ireland on the 29th theres 2 weekends
thats 8 days and still hasnt arrived in italy

and the highest insurance for registered post is 150euro :eek:

    im screwed tbh :(:(
