Re-Installing Windows Vista

    i have a HP Pavillion DV2000 laptop

    it has 2 drives , 1 of which is a recovery drive

    didnt get any cd's with the machine as was told the recovery drive has all i need

    how do i wipe my machine and re-install it again ??????

    sorry for hijackin this thread guys...
    if i get a laptop with 1g of ram that has vista s its os, is it easy enough to uninstall and install xp as its os instead? as ive heard that visat uses up the 1g of ram just running? thanks

    Put in the XP cd and let it run. 1GB of RAM is loads for XP.

    Before proceeding with that make sure you have saved XP drivers for your hardware on to CD or other removable media (or at least make sure XP drivers are available for your hardware) .
