Buying Mulitple FreeSat Box's v's getting Magic eye

I'm currently looking at getting Satellite TV in 2 of the other rooms in the house, they are already wired to a hub in the house.

With FreeSat boxes being so cheap (up north), is it worth buying a couple of them or just going out and buying Magic Eye or similar. I want a good reliable solution so if Magic Eye 'plays up' sometimes then I'm not interested.

    What is recommended?
    Thanks in Advance

you can only watch what is on the main tv with the magic eye. (fed from rf2 on back of sky box)

you will need a separate feed from the satellite dish for each location,(freesat box)

Thats what I was afraid off, everyone in the house would be watching the same thing.

I was aware of that, so I've got that one covered,

    Cheers.

what do you mean "wired to a hub"? If you want to put satellite receivers into other rooms, they will need to be wired directly back to the LNB on the satellite dish.

Unless by "hub" you mean multiswitch

"wired to a hub" = wired up to the attic room where the 2 existing cables from the LNB enter the house - lying loose at the moment so need to drill out and connect to the quad LNB.

Whats this 'multiswitch' all about? Thought they NEEDED to go straight into the LNB?

They do normally but if you want more than four outlets you can use a slightly bigger dish with a quattro lnb to give you 8 or 16 outlets, can be useful especially when the freesat with recording feature becomes available.
