Swimming Giving Shoulder Problems

I started swimming about 5 months ago for triathlon and have gone from not being able to swim more than 2 lenghths without almost drowning to being able to do 2km in a 20m pool without a break (talk about boring:p). I usually do two sessions in the pool a week and try and do between 1500 and 2000m in a session. I try and do one session of multiple shorter distances and one session of a long continious swim. I have found however that my left shoulder is starting to get really sore after every session and I am sure it is down to my poor technique. It takes me about 22-23 strokes to do 20m which I know is really bad and my times aren't great (3 minutes per 100m on a long swim; 2.30 per 100m on a shorter swim when I'm pushing 'harder'). I always breath to the right side on every stroke and I think that as I get tired my breathing suffers and I tend to lift my head more using my left arm down stroke as a lever to get my head clear of the water (don't know if I am explaining that well). Given my poor stroke rate and shoulder problems I obviosly need to get some more lessons / coaching. I am considering two options, one is to to do a TI weekend (which is mega expensive) and the other is to do a few one on one sessions with a coach which would be less expensive. Has anyone any opinions on which would be better? Also can anyone suggest a good coach for one on one sessions in Dublin / SE areas? I did have a useful session with a coach previously but that coach is not available any more as far as I know. Thanks for the help.
