So got two things off ebay from a new seller on his profile it says he is from australia. So anyway i bid on two the same items and i win. So off to the shop i got to top up my 3v card and i pay for the items. A day or too later I get a email from service@paypal.com which says:

So iv a tracking number to check it out and it says its been shipped from SHANGHAI

So i said grand i dont care where its coming from as long as i get it.
So i get a email from ebay saying:Hello

We're writing to let you know that the listing for the following item you bid on has been removed:

    260300388080 - wholesale NIB 15 MAC™ Set Eye Shadow color EYE-SHADOWS

We strongly recommend that you do not complete this purchase. Purchases of items listed on eBay but then completed outside of eBay are extremely risky. They are not covered by eBay buyer protection programs and are highly susceptible to fraud.

For more information on offers to buy or sell outside of eBay, please go to:

***If You Have Already Paid Using PayPal***
If you have already paid for this item but have not received it, please remember these important steps:
    - A buyer has 45 days after the date of the payment to open a dispute.
    - A dispute can be escalated to a claim within 20 days from when the dispute was filed.
    - Buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received, unless the dispute is for $2,500 USD or the equivalent or more.
    - If the dispute is not escalated to a claim within 20 days, PayPal will close the dispute. A closed dispute cannot be reopened or escalated to a PayPal claim.
    - When the 20-day deadline is approaching, PayPal will remind you by email and in the "Resolution Center."

You can learn more about the PayPal Dispute Resolution process by reviewing step-by-step tutorials found in the Resolution Center after logging into PayPal.com.

***If You Have Already Paid Using a Source Other Than PayPal***
    - If you paid by Western Union or MoneyGram, contact the company directly (Western Union 800-325-6000 or MoneyGram 800-926-9400).
    - Contact your bank to stop payment if you paid by check.
    - Contact your credit card company if you paid by credit card.
Our goal is to keep eBay safe so you can buy confidently. It's rare that something goes wrong with a transaction on eBay. Whenever these events do occur, we try to help as much as possible to resolve the issue.

This is an automated response, so please don't reply to this message. If you still have questions, please click the "Contact Us" link at the left of the eBay Help pages.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    eBay Trust & Safety

If the item was pulled, and the profile disappeared... *shakes his magic balls* :unlikely: to get it.
Open a ticket with PayPal and get them to look into it.

There is a four or six week (I can't recall atm) window from payment until yo need to open the dispute so I'd wait for now. I've had similar thing happen to me three times and each time it arrived fine.

Up date i emailed the seller and he emailed back saying:

Hello, yes, you can see I already shiped them out to you.
pelase wait few days to get them, thanks

So hopefully i will get them. Just have to play the waiting game.

Give it a week to 10 days- often it may get shipped via Thailand etc (EMS is not direct) so it can take a little longer than you might imagine. Given that you can actually see that something has been shipped and is on its way- you may as well hang on a few days and see what happens......

I've had the exact same happen except the buyer was supposed to be based in England.

Got the email about the item being removed and a week later the items all arrived.

    You'll get your stuff!

Then again, you might not. eBay remove items for all sorts of reasons, usually because either something is wrong, or they suspect something is wrong. The tracking number means nothing as you can't tell it's destination from it. It could be something that I ordered, for all you know!

This has happened me before, and I filed a Paypal claim straight away. The seller gave me some guff about it being an eBay mistake. Anyway, nothing turned up, but I did get my refund from Paypal.

It hasn't been 7 days yet so i cant file a Paypal claim yet. I have something like 6 weeks then to make a claim so i will hold on for another bit i say.

Why dont you wait until they arrive and then put in an item not as described claim as what you have bought are more than likely fake :(

things get removed and users get removed from ebay all the time for the stupidest things ebay consider violations. people get banned for no reason atall some times just if ebay are suspicious of you.

anyway as long as you have a tracking number you should get the item if not just open a dispute with paypal.

i would wait a while as generally if u have tracking it should be grand i got loads of things from delivered by ems before

    give it time

Nothing suspicious about a seller saying they are in Australia and then having the item shopping from Shanghai? Im sure you will get your items but Id be very surprised if what you get is real mac make up.

If it's MAC and it's coming from Shanghai then 99.999% it's gonna be fake.

Do you have a link to the auction/s?

Any idea how to tell if its going to be fake or not?

i think 99% of stuff coming from china are probably fakes. no idea until they get here and you can bring it into mac. if the listing has been cancelled you dont have to proceed, email paypal and ebay for advise, think they operate seperate dispute processes
