Where is the best spot to meet your partner after you finish the marathon. She will be close to the finish line but i doubt she can to me there after i finish the race?

If they want a view of you crossing the line then it will be somewhere different from if they are just there to pick you up off the ground after you've collected your bag. The first place that you'd actually be able to meet them though will be the end of the finishing funnel once you've collected all you goodies, how busy it will actually be there is another matter entirely and will also depend on how busy a finishing time you have.

A good place to watch near the finish, is by the Montclare. Here you can watch the runners at around 25 miles (sparsely crowded), then turn around and walk 50metres and you will be around the 26mile mark at the front of the Montclare, just before the last bend. If you get your supporter to stand outside the front of the Montclare, they can continue to watch the race, while you take your time getting around to them.

+1 for Mont Clare. There's a fantastic stretch for runners where the road narrows and it's like running through a tunnel of noise. One of the best moments in the marathon for me! (It also distracts you from the fact you can see the finish line a few metres to your left, but you've still a mile to go!).

The exit from the competitor's area where most people meet up tends to be jammed. It's on the far corner of Merrion Square from the finish line.

Last year my supporters managed to stand just past the finish line on my right.
