Do you trust salespeople/tradespeople who leave the room to answer a mobile call?

Do you trust people who have to go outside or into a different room to receive a phone call in your presense.

I was recently dealing with some salespeople/tradespeople. Some of them went outside of the room to recieve a phone call on their mobiles. It did not instill me with much confidence in their product/service that they had to leave the room to speak to someone in secret. I got the impression from the manner they answered they were not personal calls either. So I am surmising they were probably talking to existing or past customers and did not want me savvy to their conversation. What is all the secrecy about?

So do you trust people who deliberatly go outside to receive mobile calls? Do you think it makes the person kinda dodgy?

Their conversations are their conversations, and none of your or my business.

but sometimes they are your business. i know someone who was buying a car and the sales guy had to talk to the boss in secret. goes on all the time.

sales is the art of getting as much money as possible from your customers. and young salesguys often pop in for a chat with the grandmaster if they think you might walk out on them..

It's considerate of them to leave, if anything. You'll know from experience that you don't know where to look when someone's on the phone.

Follow them. It is your right. And ask, dammit, ask questions about who it is, what happened and where yore ma was at the time.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Big brother is hiring, I think they'll like you and you'll get to listen in on all sorts of secret conversations. Run to the hills won't be your friend anymore though.

The phone call is none of your business, whether it's a business call or not.

And anyway, most people would automatically step out so they don't seem rude. Not because they have anything to hide

If he stayed and had a big phone conversation right in your face, you'd be complaining how rude he was and how he should have just gone outside for a second to take the call.

I never trust a salesperson anyway, by making a decision on the spot. I always take my time to make decisions, and judge their reaction/patience. Then you pounce on the deal with they begin making concessions after you say no.

I would like to think that other clients wouldn't be overhearing my conversation with a sales person as I talking to the phone, nor would I like to impede on others' conversations.

My life is enough of a drama without having gossip phone calls to listen to.

In my eyes, they're no better than Stalin.

I'd just as quick garrote them and be done with it.
