Was his Bebo deserved to be cancelled?

A friend posted that on his account. A few hours later his account was cancelled with immediate effect with no prior warning given.

Was it deserved?

I thought you usually got a warning for that kind of thing. Ive seen worse on other active accounts TBH. Ah well, bebo's a load of crap anyway, they did him a favour canceling his account.

edit: just remembered, my sis had an 'offensive' vid on her bebo, they just removed the vid, that was the end of it really. So yeah it was a bit harsh. Check out the vid my sis had though, its pretty funny

Guys, whatever criticisms you have of Bebo, can you leave it out of this topic? I came here looking for views on whether he has a case in acquiring back his 3 year old account, not so you can rant and rave about how crap it is.

in that case i say just make a new one. there is no point in arguing with people who run these sites as they are all on high horses and / or far too busy to deal with that crap.

aye, well like I say, i suppose it was a bit harsh, but I would imagine that as soon as they delete accounts, they're gone for good, I would say they wipe all that stuff off their memory. In fairness though, theres no way his account could be that important that he would want to appeal their decision to cancel it, with all due respect, thats the funniest thing Ive heard in a while, and your mate needs to get over it!! Just make a new one for goodness sake!!!!

Lol, turns out it was copyright infringement, and he had got FOUR previous warnings with regards to uploading videos like that. Guess he can have no complaints then.

And there was me thinking for a while that Bebo had just turned republican

What was the vid about ? Must have been pretty offensive as Youtube seem to have removed it as well.

Just got an email from bebo saying my video (also Family Guy) had been removed due to copyright infringement.

A video with the name 'Family Guy - Peter Griffin has a Mustache' has been deleted from your Bebo account.

IMPORTANT: Your Bebo membership is at risk of being cancelled, please read on:

Bebo staff now review ALL videos uploaded to Bebo to ensure they comply with our terms of service, if further videos are found that are deemed inappropriate then your membership may be cancelled automatically.

That last bit interests me. Am I the only one who thinks it is somewhat unfair to be threatening to delete people's accounts for uploading directly from Youtube when the site (Bebo) has a function which allows you to do so easily?

No, as YouTube allows (and was indeed intended for) people to upload their own videos.

just got da same email today, it was only a bloddy music video i had up, jesus christ. i think its the whole situation with WMG and youtube at the moment were loads of music videos are gettin removed to copyright infringement. well if da guy in question here got 4 warnings den i guess i can take sum more precautions frm here on.
