what to do with a plot of land inherited ???

    hi im new here and dont know if this is the right place to post this but im after inheriting a plot of land (about half an acre or so).The problem is i dont have the money to build on it just yet and was wondering does anybody have any advice on what to do with it as i dont want to sell it. its located in the countryside and was wondering is there any way of maybe making money from it without building ? thanks in advance

    My advice would be to rent it to someone who has a horse or a pony, it will keep the grass down and give you a few euro in your pocket

    is there much of a demand for that kind of thing? i was thinking of maybe some kinda of forestry or something like that?

    Celebrate!!! you just got some land. thats a rare commodity! they dont make very much of it any more! its finite. be happy you have some!


    if you cant afford to build on it and dont want to sell it, why not put a vegetable plot on it for the time being. That would be a nice hobby and would ensure you keep the piece of land well, until you have the cash to develop it.

    people usually rent a few places to give the land a chance to grow back

    i couldnt really look after any vegetables or anything as i live in dublin and the plot is down in limerick:mad:
