Pre 63 house

We bought our house along with a few other dwellings on a plot of land a few years ago. The house we reside in was built in 55 by irish lights as accomodation for their employees. When we purchased the plot all the other building were on the map except this one. Is it necessary to apply for retention? Would not doing so cause a problem later if we eventually decide to sell or split the buildings up and sell them seperately?
    Thanks

If they were built pre 1963 then they dont require planning permission.
You should ensure however that the houses and their respective plots are properly mapped and registered. Your solicitor will advise on this matter.
