Bus times -- help needed!

We're thinking of moving to Cork in the New Year. My SO works in hotels, and is often there at 6am, or not finishing until midnight.

Neither of us drive, and assuming my SO gets a job in a hotel, are there buses that run at those times that would take him to and from suburbs? I'm not sure we could afford city centre rent prices.

I've tried researching it myself, but I've never been to Cork, know nothing about it, and it's all very confusing. Would appreciate some input from those in the know! :)
