Did the 8 cent go onto Petrol yet

    Not sure what forum to post in, but seen how im from Louth ill ask here.
    does anybody know did the government put the 8 cent levy on petrol yet?? its hard to tell if they did and oil prices just went down at the same time?

    Yes, it certainly did. It coincided with a significantl drop in retail prices in the past week so you may have actually seen a drop in the price per litre. They're still getting an extra 8 Cent a Litre off us though!.

    Too right they put it up!!
    The ESSO garage on the Ballymakenny road has it for €1.19 which is quite good! It was €1.24 there last week!
