Which mattress?! Ikea or Silentnight?

    Hi,

I'm in the market for a new mattress - I don't want a memory foam one (oooh, hate the feeling of the mattress collapsing around me!) and I'd like something really firm.

I was in Clery's and the only one that was firm enough was the Silentnight Ortho Classic (Miracoil mattress), but I haven't heard fantastic things about Silentnight. The alternative was to drive up to Ikea and see what they have there.

Can anyone comment on either Silentnight or Ikea mattress?

    Thanks!

I can't comment on Ikea mattresses but Silentnight aren't very good in my opinion.
King Koil are fantastic - they're very well sprung.

Cool thanks. Do you know where King Koil are sold so I could go and have a bit of a bounce? :p

We got ours in Frank McGowan's in Swords, but Clery's sell them too.

We got an ikea mattress, was great for the first four years but on it's way out already, this product is guaranteed for 10 years and has been looked after, turned regular etc , I wouldn't purchase another
