Noted on the British Shooting website:
We have been informed that Shooting has been removed from the sports programme for the 2009 World University Games in Belgrade. At a meeting of the FISU Executive Committee over the weekend agreement was reached with the Organising Committee of the 25th World University Games to remove six sports from the programme due to the current financial crisis.

This is clearly a deeply regrettable outcome for Shooting, and we remain committed to supporting future World University Games and World University Shooting Championships where appropriate within the Performance Plan.
    Not great news :(
