    ...welll......not really :D:D:D

But it is a 'classic car' story...........:p

....long, long ago, in a place, far, far, away..........the '80's, actually..........I got a board game, called.........Formula One. (Waddington's, 1978 edition.....)

    http://www.boardgamesandspares.co.uk/page8.htm

Never seen, nor heard of it, from anybody, then or since. Had loads and loads of fun with it........modified it, even ....adding trees and grass from the train modelling gear (the curse of the petrol head !! :p:p )

Anyhoo, I had to empty the attic lately, to insulate it, and took down all the toys.........Formula One, Tank Command :D, Train Set :o.......and put them in the spare room.

    Then SomeOne found them......

Imagine the delight, then, when my 5 yr old comes down the stairs as if he'd found the Willie Wonka Golden Ticket !! :D:D...........with the Formula One game. So, we eventually take it out, put it together, and play it. It was great! Well apart from only 2 cars, and they only had 2 wheels, each :p

So, I did a quick google, and lo and behold - have you seen the price of 'collectible' stuff like this ??

    Sweet jeebus ! http://www.boardgamecompany.co.uk/FormulaOne(VG20031).htm

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
