For anyone who has bought from sovietarmystuff.com (or via their ebay site); how accurate is the uniform sizing do you know? it's not as detailed as Flecktarn.co.uk for example so i don't want to end up with a pait of trousers 3 inches too short :)
    Anyone any experience of them?

Be prepared to wait and his english isn't the best.
Some of his stuff isn't Russian but Ukrainian, but it doesn't bother me really.
Sizes are bad too, make sure you let them no quite sternly ''Don't be sending me small sizes''.
If you don't want all that, just don't buy from them :(

Thanks. It's actually Ukrainian stuff i'm after and not in any rush either. The sizes are the only issue; they give waist dimensions but not length for example.

i got some stuff only today from them , an mvd spetnatz camo set.

i ordered my stuf on the 10/10 the postmark on the box also says 10/10 !
so thats how long it takes to arrive.

your paypal shows as being sent to "2checkout.com" which freaked me out a bit.

What questions do you have ??

How was the size of the gear?
I'm worried that (for example) for trousers it only gives the waist measurements. Are there length options also? Does the gear fit you well?

the sizes are fine , however the stiching around the button holes on the trousers leaves a little to be desired. i'm used to flecktarn quality , so it may just be me being picky.
The jacket is fine , all patches seem to be sewn on well ( i'm not an expert) however compared to issue stuff i've seen , this isnt issue.

The trousers are plenty long ( too long for me) the pockets are all velcro, TBH my next stop is soviet propaganda to match the jacket up to a good quality pants.

I'm a 42 inch chest and the size 50 jacket is perfect.

Were the ones you bought claimed to be issue?
This is what I'm interested in ... could it be similar to what you bought?

this is the sizing chart from soviet propaganda, the 'BDU Sizes' and the BDU Heights' lines show you the figures that will appear on the Russian gear, so if you a 6foot talk guy with a 38 waist you need to ask for them in size, 56/4 , 56 being the number for the jacket, and 5 as is the 5th number along, well that's how dmitry has always given them to be as, the size shown in the pictures is 58-5 so that is 6foot2 talk and 40 waist

i read the phrase "New. Unused surplus" to mean issue. prehaps i'm wrong.
that is the exact same as mine , only the patches are different.
