Can anyone confirm that both the Cork Airport and the Villerstown/Clashmore Chorus MMDS transmitters both transmit within the same range and polarisation ?
ie: 2,500 to 2,700MHz and Horizontal

    Thanks in advance

Why do you want to know?

MMDS is essentially Wireless Cable in Ireland, so only UPC etc can install and configure the gear.

All ex Chorus & ex NTL (all now UPC) is same band. Polarisation alternate by adjacent area to reduce interference.

Only SCTV uses a different MMDS band (11.7Ghz to 12.5GHz).

Just to make something very clear to other posters .....

I did NOT start a new thread about this topic.

I posted my original query in a subsequently closed topic.

This thread has been started, in my name, by a moderator.

As a result, it is out of context - In my view, purposely done so, to suggest I have alterior or illegal motives.I do not.

It's a shame such a good and informative forum can be manipulated like this.

Your post was irrelevant to a dragged up old thread. you SHOULD have started a new Thread. We don't charge for them.
You complained about the thread being closed.
You asked a question. It's a normal Moderating activity to move posts into a new thread to give them more visibility and more appropriate title so that the question is answered.

There is nothing out of context.

Don't you want your question answered? I've partially answered it in pointing out as Sponge Bob did in original ancient thread (if you read it) that ALL UPC MMDS is on the same 2.6GHz Band, and also explaining why they use horizontal and vertical.
