    Yes, those sample crops are pretty good looking. Can't argue with that sort of resolution for the price - and it challenges the 1Ds Mk III in terms of image quality.

    I'm particularly interested in the video capabilities of the camera, as it opens up a whole new world of creative possiblities.

    It does indeed .. however my main swing towards it is the high IQ, and FF giving nice wide shots..


    so 24-70 lens will be such a nice lens to use for landscape shots now ..

    24-70 on ff is superb, really makes it a great lens

    thanks .. more bonus points for the 5D mk2 ...

    the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 won't work on the 5D II (or any FF camera will it ? )

    what about the 50mm f1.8 II
    and the EF 70-300 f4-5.6 IS USM ?
