Anyone manage to get NAT2 with this modem ?

I have Port Forwarded the correct ports. The only thing is that when you forward a port to an ip address (my PS3) you cannt select UDP/TCP.

    Still says NAT3 :(

(as the guy with the glasses in the start of transformers said) "English Dude, speak english". Of course he was then speared by the Deceptacon Skorpion .

What exactly is your query my man and what relevance would it have for us non teckie types.

If you do an Internet Connection Test on your PS3 you will see your NAT type. From teh PS3 online manual...
Check how the PS3™ system is connected to the Internet. This information can be used to judge the ease or difficulty of connecting to other PS3™ systems when using voice / video chat or the communication features of games.
Type 1: Connected directly to the Internet

Type 2: Connected to the Internet via a router

Type 3: Connected to the Internet via a router

With type 3, it may not be possible to communicate with other PS3™ systems, and voice / video chat and the communication features of games may be restricted.

Mine is NAT3 and I want to get it to NAT2 but can;t seem to manage it :(

Have you a static IP set for the PS3?

What ports are you trying to open for the PS3's IP Address?

    have you tried www.portforward.com

    :(

Not quite sure how I manged it but I now have NAT 2 :D

I took a screenshot of ALL the ports I have forwarded so I know from now on.

Now the only problem left is to the the 360 off of Strict NAT and as per usual it is so far not working :(

Ok. I now have it all sorted (touch wood) :)

So on my Zyxel asdl router I turned off all the Port Forarding routes.
I didn't reserve any IPs for the 360 and PS3

On PS3 I set a static IP in the DHCP range.
On the 360 I set the IP to auto.

On the router I then turned on UHCP I turned on all the options..
Active the Universal Plug and Play(UPnP) Feature
Allow users to make configuration changes through UPnP
Allow UPnP to pass through Firewall

Now the PS3 is NAT2 and the 360 is Open :)

    Hello Brianon:

I have the same problem that you had with the nat2 in the ps3 but i still havent accomplished to get it done like you. Well this is what i have done so far:

    ps3 set to static ip
all the options on upnp are on
i port forwarded the neccesary ports to ps3 static ip

I didnt find that uhcp options that you mentioned so if you can explain me how you configured your router with a bit more of details ill be thankfull.

Thats a typo. I think I meant UPnP instead of uhcp.

Have you a firewall ? Whats the router ?

Well done on getting this. Digiweb and their god damned cheap ass router with NAT3. I kept getting kicked out of multiplayer GTAIV games. I even called through to the UK, they were no help whatsoever. Digiweb have no clue they just kept saying its plug and play. Send it back and we may charge you if there is nothing wrong with it.

    Asswipes!

I got mine fixed through the power of Google but in a different way from you. Im not on NAT2

Had you any ports forwarded ? I didn't need to forward any ports once I enabled UPnP.

If you host a website on your Internet connection, but cannot see the site from your lan side.
You must enable “nat loopback” on your router.

NAT Loopback must be turned on from the command line using telnet.

If not you can have your ports forwarded correctly but if you put in an WAN ip address e.g. 132.456.789.1:5555 on your local machine you will get nothing without loopback turned on as described.

Took me a while the other day to figure this out.

If you can't do this just try to get someone else on a different network to try the address to see if the port is opened.
