What type are you looking for are you looking for stainless steel with keyhole on its own (escutcheons)

    Bit like this

    Hi
I have 16 sets of handles I could sell you cheap enough if you want Stainless steel lets say 10 euro each but you would have to buy the key holes yourself they are the cheap part about 3 euro each

    Hi,
Just wondering since this thread is current, i was considering getting door knobs instead of handles, i have oak shaker style doors. A couple of the hardware stores said knobs are tricker to fit, and it may be touch and go whether my shaker doors could actually accomodate them. Anyone any the wiser on this?
    Thnks

    Hi,

Door knobs require a deeper lock so the knob is further into the door away from the frame so your dont rub your knuckles of the door frame. This is not a problem with a lever handle as it is pointing away from the frame. Usually knobs fitted on 4 of 6 panel doors are installed in the rail between the panels, because the deeper lock would mean the knob would be on the panel itself if fitted higher of lower. Because your door is a shaker it is one single panel and will not accomadate a knob. Personaly i thing a sraight leaver on rose looks great on a shaker door and it will fit perfectly.

Well in end i did indeed go for a nice handle, polished chrome and steel. Looks super sleek against the oak shaker. Must add though that i sourced them in the UK and got what i wanted.
