Windowboards won't fit

    Hi all,
At 1st fix now & Carpenter just told me the inner block is laid higher than the cil on some of my windows, so windowboards are sitting too high against the window frame - it looks awful.
The window boards are MDF so only 1 thickness, 1 inch.

He said I'd have to take the consaw to the block - is this a messy job?

If I go for 3/4 inch timber it won't look the part, will be different material (& so different finish) to the other boards & will have a square, rather than rounded edge. Should I rip them all out and start again?

Thanks for any advice - it's a superb forum

    Hi
Tell your Carpenter to put a rebate on the bottom off the board and the boards will look spot on ( a rebate is a grove by the way) mind you its a bit off work for him and he will not haved priced for it
