I am sick to death of things I buy in the supermarket/shop that won't open or work. Examples: That sh!tting ring on the plastic milk bottle, packets of shrink wrapped rashers that you would need a surgical scalpel to open (an ordinary knife will almost always slip and take your index finger right off), bottles of water/power drinks that the top pulls off (some of the cnuting things have a seal on the top of the bottle that you have to peel off but it does'nt tell you that). Deodarant cans that have this sliding thing instead of pulling off the cap. 2 bottles of wine deals that when you get home and look at the receipt you've been charged full price! seriously I'm so pi$$ed off with it, any other comments??

    Hammer/saw/shotgun generally does the job.

Stabbed myself in the finger with a knife trying to open the plastic casing on a memory card once (and that was after failing to open it with first my fingers, then a key and lastly by trying to melt it with a lighter)

There is also an unused battery powered toothbrush in my bathroom, as to open the battery sction would involve actually breaking the plastic covering. Ridicilous.

Thats weird , usually I find setting fire to things is the best way to get them open.

with the 2 for one, sometimes/someplaces they appear twice on the receipt, but there is some discount somewhere else on the receipt.. , best not to punch the assistant manager before you establish this, but punching after is ok, for being them smug.

Of course the solution is to employ a sharper knife just incase finger wasn't severed in one pass by ordinary knife.. :D

Shouting at stuff usually works if you do it for long enough

I'd guess you stabbed yourself with a knife because you were inhaling the fumes from burning plastic seconds earlier.

I have to say I don't like the plastic packaging that comes on things like headphones etc...the ones that you have to cut with a knife..and then when you do, leaves very sharp plastic shrapnel.

Any time I can't open something, I pull out the keyring. There's always one on there that can be forced into the packaging to make it open.
