Some photos from today's races uploaded here... The rain in recent days made the longer course a bit more challenging than usual.

Thanks Slogger Jogger, great photos, and best of luck tommorrow. Well done to Rathfarnham WSAF athletes today who did very well including team and individual gold in the Mens novice. 3 Hillrunners scored on the winning team (and 3 boardsies). Theres a lesson there somewhere!

Great course yesterday in Avondale, three of the top 4 in the men's novice were hillrunning in the summer.
Lots of slop, a steep hill and a gentle hill all combined to make a good hard race.
Great job done by the organisers, produced two Bejing Olympians, Pauline Curley giving a class in the masters and Fionnuala Britton Marshalling, which is great to see.

Hard to believe 6km could be so tough!

Fair play to ye. I was glad I was merely spectating.

Lots of other trails in Avondale beyond the CC route too, for all sorts of training. Some short and tough hill trails and spectacular runs beside the river. It never fails to lift the spirits. I'm happy to say its proverbially on the doorstep.
