I have OEM Vista 32bit which I got with a motherboard last year. I upgraded to a new motherboard last week and put a spare copy of XP on it because I'm not sure I can use the same Vista license key again on the new motherboard. Can I do this?

No, not with OEM. But you can ring up microsoft and tell them the board died and you had to buy a new one and reinstall. They will then activate.

Microsoft windows OEM license only covers original motherboard or one replaced by the manufacturer under warranty.
