Scotty Cameron, Putter Help

Ok guys, I need your help.

It's my birthday soon enough and am looking for a new putter. Now, I have a Callaway Tour Blue TT1. I bought it about a year and a half ago. I really like the look of the putter and shape. But, as the head is blue, there are lots of scratches and marks. Also, the shaft has a slight ben in it.

Right then, I have my eyes cast on a Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 putter. In the local proshop, they don't have any, but the pro said he could order me one in and have me fitted for the correct lie and length etc. I know these are very expensive putters, so I want to know if it is worth getting a Scotty.

I play off 5 handicap. I generally don't have much trouble putting, but recently I have been forced to open/close the clubface due to the bend in the shaft. A bit more confidence would do wonders for me.

If you need any more info, just ask.

    Thanks :)

Hey Niall, Congrats on the up coming Birthday, I got a few Scotty's and I gotta say everyone was worth every penny. I personally haven't tried the Select range yet, but I've got The Newport in a couple of previous models and they sit very tidy at address. if you can play a round or two with one:P

Well I think it's against the rules to play with a bent shaft so you better get a new one!! I have a Pro Platinum Newport Two and a Studio Design 1.5 and they're both very good putters. I love the new studio select, they have a lovely weight about them and look great too

I have s Studio Style 2.5 for about 4 years now.

Love how the shaft blends perfectly into the head.

    And how I can't miss from 5 feet :D

we are in recession lad, 300 is too much to be spending on a putter when there is nothing wrong with your own. bit of practice is all you need for more confidence and to fix that sometimes loopy stroke ;)

don't think €300 is too much to spend on a putter most golfers take 1/3 of their shots with the putter so it's important you get one your comfortable with whether it's €3 or €300
