    Been looking around the site for a thead about good sites to watch films and tv shows of good quality on line. im looking for a site with a good selection of films and tv show and easy to use.

    Well, anything illegal isn't going to be allowed on this site, so a thread like this is probably doomed if certain websites/programs get mentioned.

    For shows from the US go to Hulu. They also have films. It's free and legal.

    You could use an American proxy, but Im not sure how that will affect the viewing

    the massive www.archive.org has lots to offer in the way of free media.

    a lot of it might might be useless, but theres some very watchable films, tv series and classic cartoons there.

    the site itself isnt the most user friendly and if it gets too annoying take a look at this blog which posts up the movies of note:

    Yes, but that would then technically be unlawful what with you not actually being in the US (and thus part of the advertising deal under which such permissions are usually granted). Not to mention the utter unlikeliness of finding a suitable proxy with a big enough pipe to allow decent streaming.

    Lovefilm may be of use to you, AFAIK they cover Ireland as well as the UK and have both paid-for and free content available in their downloads section.
