cheap ps3 speakers

    my z5500 system broke down and aint working. no power is going through it anymore so im just looking for a cheap replacement. ive a pc monitor which has no speakers so i need something i can just connect straight to the ps3 via optical cable. ive looked around and cant see anything.

    Any help is very appreciated. ty

    Just buy a cheap DVD player win some speakers, use scart out and it'll work, that is if the DVD player has scart in.

    Have you tried replacing the fuses in the z5500, it's a problem with those units that they blow ALOT of fuses!

    i changed the fuse in the plug of the thing and no joy. i did find another kinda fuse within the main large speaker but havent tried replacing it.

    none of the fuses look blown tho, all look fine.

    also anyone wanna recommend a nice tv if i choose to go down that road. prob like 32inch plasma/lcd (dunno much about the difference between them) thats HD ready/full.

    thx guys i think it may be the inner fuse thats the problem. im gonna buy them on ebay for €2 lol. so u guys prob saved me hundreds lol!!!!!!!

    As far as i can see OP the fuse is just a standard fuse 2.5Amp one which you would pick up in maplins for around E2 ten pack and it has to be easier then ordering it off ebay. Most electrical stores will sell them. I assume its just a 20mm fuse or there abouts.
    You won't be saving a huge amounts by ordering them off ebay IMO.
    Im sure some other boardsies will say other wise!
