Take the Doughiska bus if there is one.

Its 'Eyre' Square btw or officially Kennedy Memorial Park

    From Wikipedia
The plot of land that became Eyre Square was officially presented to the city in 1710 by Mayor Edward Eyre, from whom it took its name.[1] In 1965, the square was officially renamed "Kennedy Memorial Park" in honour of US President John F. Kennedy, who visited Galway city shortly before his assassination in 1963.[1] A redevelopment work of the square began in 2004.[2] There was some controversy when it was reported that the building contractors had left the site and were not returning.[3] The square reopened on 13 April 2006 after costing €9.6 million.[4] The finished square received Irish Landscape Institute Design Award in 2007.[5]

Its the number 9 bus from Eyre Sq across from O'Connells, goes along Doughiska Road and is the only bus AFAIK that will get you close.

Under Galway City Services you get the pdf http://www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1202230005-Galway9.pdf

No 3 just circles the roundabout at Briarhill before turning back to Ballybrit again.

Yeah but it leaves a bit of a walk to the NCT centre, whereas the 9 drops you about 200m away

    Thanks a lot!

And how about if I'd like to stop beside big Dunnes Stores?
