read on another thread that swim training weekend courses with some top coaches that are run by different triathlon clubs can really help improve your swim technique , does anyone here know of such courses ?, are they any good ?, who/where are they run? , expensive ?

the one's run by tri clubs are on a case by case basis. Keep an eye on the club websites and if they have additional places I'm sure they'll be happy to have someone from outside the club involved.

another option is total immersion. They have a workshop in Dublin in December

If I remember correctly Seres, you're in the west. If I were you I would contact Seb Locteau and ask his advice. He would have better local information that I do.

Sorry to hijack , but just wondering if anyone here has done one of the 2 day TI workshops ? If so, any feedback on it ? Just trying to get an idea of whether it is worth the (hefty) admission. Thanks.

Seres, you can contact Seb via http://www.predatortriclub.com/
Just saw this link on another post - http://www.irishtriathlon.com/sebfitness/index.htm

You could also consider a masters swim club. There is one in Leisureland and another in Tuam.
