Interesting to see that some people are getting money from the government despite the harsh economic climate. Never a more deserving fellow?

    Thursday October 16 2008
A PRISONER who was injured by a syringe hidden in his cell mattress has been awarded damages.

Despite his previous crime record, a good solicitor would have got this guy a lot more, the window period for HIV contamination is 3 months, thats three months of anxiety and sleepless nights. Looking at this guys record he probably just settled for FLAC in this case.

People like him are just going to mess with our society for his entire life - I don't understand why he got a paltry two month prison sentence. He clearly doesn't give a **** about anyone or anything.

AARRRGH... take them out of society I say!

Maybe the victims above can now claim from Coyle as he now has €7,500 he can pay in compensation to his victims.

whrn you go to jail, your punishment is removal of your right to freedom.

We don't, and shouldn't, take away people's other rights.

Hey, if you incarcerate someone, you take legal responsibility for them. Jails should be as unpleasant as possible, but they should be reasonably safe as well (otherwise, we may as well put the prison officers on the dole: no need for them).

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

It's a fair point. But by the time one of them sues him he'll have spent it.
