Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring a cat on a train? Of course she would be in her cage.....

I've done it, no questions asked, despite the cat's loud protests!!!

    Afternoon!

I did it a few years back with my cat on the waterford to dublin route

I asked in advance and the conductor let me put the cat box in the guards van so she wouldn't get freaked out by all the passangers.

I got a mild tranq. from the vet and gave that to her in advance.
I don't think there's an issue with the cat box in the carriage - I would advise tranquelising(sp) the cat though as a scared cat will not only get more and more upset but may soil the box making it a nightmare journey for all around also.

Oh, when travelling also cover the box with a t-shirt or something. It won't block the air getting in but the darkness will be calming also.

*fingers crossed* for you and your travelling cat!

    xxx Kate
