    They seem to be missing from the top menu...

    Also my subscriptions seem to have been cancelled for these.

    Did you change email address / get banned / change anything, etc?

    Private forums would only show in the subbed list, never in the rest of the menu.

    OK, I think I figured it out:
    I joined the blogger usergroup to see what it did and this seems to trigger it.

    It unsubscribes all private forums and all previously subscribed threads in them. I tried it twice and it happened each time.

    Leaving the group doesn't seem to have any effect.
    Private forums would only show in the subbed list, never in the rest of the menu.
    My mistake, I thought they did.
