problem trying to book aer lingus..

    i dont have a credit card and i want to book a flight to SFO so my uncle said i can use his card
    he gave me 2 cards to try and neither will work??they both are visa but i get this error when i try to confirm the purchase at the end
    "Your card number cannot be processed online. If you are sure your details have been entered in correctly, please contact your card company."
    anyone know why this would be??its so annoying:mad:

    Possibly you were given incorrect details. Possibly your cards don't have sufficient credit and payment can't be processed.

    Tell your uncle to contact his bank like the website says. Any answer here is speculation.

    i understand that but i thought maybe someone had a similar experience and would tell me how they solved it
    i got the details for the 2nd card wrong and when i tried it on the website it said "invalid card number" then i entered them correctly and it gave me the same message as the first card ("card cannot be used online")
    my uncle doesnt know what the problem is since they worked for him and neither have gone over the limit :-|

    damn i wish 3v cards could be bought for more than 350 value
