There seems to be a fair bit of interest about Obama, if you're interested in heading down to see a debate about whether or not he's a change we can believe in then swing by to AC204 at 19:00 on Monday the 27th of October in NUIG.

Speaking in favor of Obama is Dr. Brendan Flynn, a politics lecturer in NUIG

Speaking against is Richard Boyd-Barrett, Dail candidate for the People before Profit Alliance and Chairman of the Irish Anti-War Movement.

The debate is open to the public and boardsies would be especially welcome.

Thanks for info. Do we have to register before or something?

Nah, it's free and no pre-registering is required.

Swing on down if your interested. (I've yet to see Boyd-Barrett arguing but he's meant to be a good 'un and I had Flynn as a lecturer last year; he was brilliant)

Are the two debators actually of the mindset of being for and against? something smells...

    Eh?

For: He'll be speaking that Obama will deliver the change he promises
Against: Will be saying why he thinks Obama won't deliver.

    Not that complicated really.
