problem with sex

    Hi there

    I've been with my boyfriend for 5 yrs and we really love each other. But the sex has dwindled a bit in last year or so. Besides that i'm finding it hard to get in the mood even though we have tried different things. I've been to the doctor in relation to thrush and rashes, think i'm bit sensitive down below and have had treatment for it.
    However Especially lately, its hard for him to ge inside me, even with lube its uncomfortable. When we do manage to have sex its not that great and after i'm very sore and raw and stingy. I've been to doctor but they say they're nothing wrong/anything they could give me for it.
    Anyone been through the same or have any advice?? thanks

    Once you doctors have ruled out physical causes by means of an exam, swabs etc all thats left really is psychological causes.

    Have you had any traumas or stresses either within your relationship or outside of it such as a death, miscarriage, pregnancy scare, job loss, infidelity, doubts about your relationship etc?

    I've been through similar but was suffering with post natal depression along with a major fear of getting pregnant again after 2 sections.

    i'd say get a second opinion too,but do bear in mind that psychological casues could be to blame....like if you've had problems with thrush etc,you might be building it up in your mind so that when it comes to the deed itself you're all tense?that would explain the rawness afterwards too(if you're not suitably *ahem* "ready"!!)
