I am not looking for any match in particular and this is probably a long shot, but just wondering if anybody knows of anywhere on the internet to download Quickime movies of big GAA games?

I too would like to know where, or even if it is even possible...

I know on the old RTE website you were able to download matches & programmes but since the renovation of the site they just don't seem to put the archived material back up...

It would be cool to build a blog full of this archived material. I suppose permission would be needed from RTÉ and the GAA to do something like this and probably wouldn't be granted considering they are selling them here: http://www.thegaastore.com/view_products.asp?cat1=Books+Videos+and+DVD&cat2=DVDs

As the above poster mentioned, the GAA do sell (overpriced) copies of all the All-Ireland finals for the last forty years or so, but I can't see why there'd be much issue with posting videos of matches that aren't commercially available. I've been considering doing this for a while now, but just haven't gotten around to it. I'd say it'd take quite a bit of time and effort to record, rip and upload an entire match with build-up and analysis. I'd love for such a resource to exist, though, it'd be absolutely fantastic.

A Kilkenny friend of mine has already pre-booked a copy of this years final for me :(

I used to have Setanta on-line service when I was in Canada, There was an archive section of previous matches and I think they were downloadable but not high quality quicktime...:(

    Its a much needed service

 I just checked the Sky+ hard drive and it seems the 7 or 8 matches I recorded over the course of the championship have all been deleted, and only the All-Ireland finals are left. Oh well, maybe I'll give it a try next year.
