Videos from external hard drive to itunes to ipod

Hey guys, Basically this has been bugging be for ages. I want to put some tv series that I have on my external hard drive onto my iPod but don't want to use any space on my MBP hard drive. I do this already with my music but I'm wondering how to do it with my videos? Cheers, Tripper

It should work with your current settings - just "Add to Library" like usual.
Are the video files mp4/m4v though?
