A testimonial is being organised for one of Longfords true sporting greats. Sean gave many years of service to Longford Town FC and sadly after joining Drogheda he was diagnosed with a heart condition ending his career early.

The game sees a LTFC Legends side, full of the many greats who played or us in the past managed by Alan Matthews and Stephen Kenny.

A great night is on the cards.

I hope to see the local sporting community out in force for this game, tickets are onsale from ticketmaster http://www.ticketmaster.ie/artist/973630/?search_redirect=sean%20prunty&tm_link=tm_header_search

Also will be onsale form other locations and the club, details to be announced shortly.

If you cannot attend the game but would like to contribute then there are "virtual tickets" for sale on ebay http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140275849217

Also playing on the night, but for the Longford Town select, will be World Cup winner Marco Tardelli, current co-manager of the Republic of Ireland senior team.

Let's not forget that this is happening this coming Friday evening @ 18.45pm (21 November)
It promises to be an excellent and most enjoyable night and I'd encourage everyone to go along, even those who wouldnt normally attend flancare.
Not forgetting it is about raising much needed funds for ex-player Sean Prunty, who's football career has suffered due to ill health at such an young age. Detail can be seen in the club supporters notes here - http://www.ltfc.ie/news/article/?id=bb646c4b-b186-4dd2-8ae5-409d9d4d06ef

Tickets are available from ticket master, the Music centre in the town and of course at the gate on the night. Hope to see lots there.:)
