RTE comes as standard i would have thought.

RTE is the state broadcaster so everyone providing cable or satellite have to provide it.

    Did you contact your provider?

They really ought to provide the terrestrial channels through your cable connection.

    Seems pretty shoddy service otherwise.

I suppose bolting a UHF antenna to the side of the building's out of the question?

If it is, your property management company are denying you your right to receive non-pay television. I'd say there's a legal issue with that. If there isn't there certainly ought to be!

They're NI-based, so perhaps don't see the point of providing RTE, TV3 and TG4, who knows?!

I assume if you subscribe to Sky Digital through their communal dish, you'll get RTE etc as part of the standard line up.

Does paying a TV licence not cover RTE as a fee paying station considering its the national broadcaster.

I did ring sky conway a few weeks ago and to be honest the girl I spoke was a bit thick so it did put me off ringing again..

she went on about what digi box i had ad then stated that it would be 60euro a month so i hung up on her

Lol what did she want €60 a month for?

The only advise i can give you is to contact them again and hopefully you will get someone with half a brain.

Then your other option is comreg or equivalent for TV service.

hi rte is definitely part of their package had them in our last apartment block worst company ever, get in contact with sky direct if you can get 4 other people to sign up to them they will try and install a dish on top of your apartment block it saves you having to pay sky conway any money

I'm surprised they're getting away with calling themselves "Sky Conway".

Sky are fairly tough about protection of their trademarks.

Their website www.skyconway.com is pretty rough looking too.

That website looks well dodgy. I always tend to steer clear of any company that cannot invest in a decent looking website. That looks like it was put together by an amateur in no more than 20mins. The other thing is that they do not provide their full contact details. http://www.skyinyourapartment.ie/ is a company called Spectrum.

For official information about using sky with a communal dish:

    http://www.skyhomes.ie/

    That's Sky's own service.
