sorry if this has been done, i did a search and couldnt see a dedicated thread.:)
Basically just wondering what people find to be the most useful widgets.
I never really use dashboard much, cos i only really have the calc and the itunes album art finder.
    any other good ones?

    cheers

iStat Pro is the best and most useful widget, bar none. After that it depends on your own interests. There are a few cool radio widgets, like RadioTuner and BBC Radio but their dependency on Realplayer streams let them down. But other than that I don't use many 3rd party widgets, most of them are kinda gimmicky and not worth the memory/clutter.

    +1 for iStat Pro.

Also Wikipedia - I love having it on the Dashboard. And Minutes - it's incredibly useful for setting a quick alarm to remind you to do something.

Stickies, iStat pro and the weather some are my favourites.

    Nice too.

Harmonic is my favourite. It downloads lyrics for tunes playing in iTunes and auto inserts them into the track (so they are on your iPod after you sync). Very cool. If you have a huge music library and want to get the lyrics for all of them, then use Harmonic along with the iTunes script called 'Needle Drop' which lets you play each track in you library for a set time. So you can set it up to play each track for 20 secs allowing Harmonic enough time to download the lyrics before it moves on to the next tune. Leave this running for a few hours and presto you have all your lyrics! :)

Cool, i might to that next weekend if i have a few hours to spare.

I have iStat Pro, weather for 3 cities, clocks for a bunch of places, calculator, stocks, dictionary/thesaurus, and the converter widget which is set to currency.

But istat is the one i use the most. I had the iStat menus version where it is along the top of your menus in the top left but i found it annoying. Partly because my screen was too small i guess. Plus, now its almost just as handy to use my iPhone for setting reminders and checking the time etc

It all depends on what you're into.
I like astronomy so I have have Moon phase. I'm also in the market for a mac so I use Refurb Me. I also use Screenshot Plus because I take a lot of screenies.
