    Had a Toshiba once. Thing was underpowered, but also unbreakable. Dropped, spilled, whalloped, commuted with, spilled on again, used as a weapon, and generally it held up fine.

    Nice specs on that one too. That's plenty of bang for your buck, especially from a Bricks and Mortar retailer.

    For €1250 euro thouigh, you'd want to be sure you're getting a decent discreet GPU with it.

    I'm gonna suggest a Samsung as the build quality is great. The Q series are pretty nifty...

    That Toshiba doesn't look bad though.

    I got an ACER 5920 2GHZ 3GB RAM 160GB HDD for €499 in PCWorld two weeks ago. Once I uninstalled all the crapware and installed Vista Pro from my Work MSDN subscription, its a nifty piece of kit.
    Its abuut 5 times faster than my previous DELL.
