A mate of mine directed this feature. Its doing the rounds in the festivals in the US at the mo.

I havent seen it yet myself. The director is a bit of a guru on horrors so Im hoping he pulled it off!

    Can't be any worse than Shrooms/Dead Bodies/Boy Eats Girl/Isolation.

Your mate was interviewed in yesterdays Sunday Times Culture Magazine. All about Seer and how difficult it is to get funding for projects in Ireland and that IFB turned them down but local businesses backed them

Website is pretty cool, no trailer though, which seems kind of weird.

Is your mate a fan of 'Cube' by any chance?

The gallery stills look interesting enough. Not too mad about the 'creep eyed girl', who has been tormenting people in horror movies for years now, though.

What's the synopsis? The 'tale' on the website doesn't say too much.

Typed 'the seer' into IMDb, all that came up was Disaster Movie

Trailer doesn't tell much about the story.
    Anyone know what it's about?

I saw it on friday in the ifi.

The story is centered on a group of people who wake up in a house unaware of where they are or who they are the only thing they have is a hospital bracelet with names they assume are theirs on them. As they wake up and find each other they realise something isn't right and when they attempt to leave the house the encouter a terrifying creature that is out to kill them.

As they become more frightened suspicions of each other kick in when it appears one of the inhabitants is causing the others to loose their control and give themselves up to the creature.

The story is very strong and engaging and genuinley differant from the usual crap you get in low budget horrors. It's a slow burning phsycological film rather than a gorefest mindless 90mins of "horror" that seems to be all thats out these days.

However as it is very low budget (it recieved no backing from the irish film board, Shame on you!!) the acting is not great and without tara reid in the lead doing her best to drag the rest of them into something that would pass as effort it would have been terrible. But she does a great job and as the movie progressses the story sucks you in and keeps you engaged for the final act. With more money and a stronger cast this could have been great and who knows maybe some hollywood type will see fit to re-make it into the film it could have been. Having said that for a movie with no budget and no backing recieved it's a great effort with a suprisingly good story.

Good to see more Irish horror in the pipelines.

The site could use a bit of info though, its very nicely designed and all but very lacking in information.

Trailer looks decent too. Will be following this one.
