An electrical engineer, a mechanical engineer, a civil engineer and a computer engineer were taking a long drive through Death Valley when their car broke down. A bit panicked they started generating suggestions to get them out of their predicament. The electrical engineer suggested there could be a short circuit and they might need to replace a fuse. The mechanical engineer said maybe it was a bad bearing and he could re-grind it with sand. The civil engineer thought maybe it was the hydraulics and he could tape the bad line. The computer engineer had no idea what was wrong but recommended they completely shut the car off, roll up all the windows, get out, lock the car, then get back in and see if it starts.

Its taking the piss out of computer engineers cos usually all that a computer needs when broken is to be shut down and rebooted
