there was a great deal last week in tesco, of 12 cans of Heiniken for 14.99. This weeks deal seems to be the Bavaria.

It certainly was not always €1 per can, the only beer they had that cheap was Bass, because they are in competition with LIDL and that other Tesco brand that is also cheap.

Bavaria is quite a good quaLity beer, seems a bit snobbish to call it rich mans dutch gold, this is a bargains forum after all!!!

Bavaria is pretty poor in fairness when you can get prazsky for almost the same price. Yes it is cheap atm but that doesn't change how it tastes.

    taste is taste......

I like it, after one or two beers of anything, taste fades anyway. Still dont understand why people pay 1.80 or 1.90 for 'premium' big brand bland beers when there are great offers on the cheaper stuff. Brand snobbery I think.

I'm pritty sure I saw in my local tesco a while ago 24 cans bavaria for €24, it could have been on offer then aswell though, I'm aware a 6 pack is €7.50

Only time I got 24 Bavaria for €24 before was when heading to a music festival when there were loads of deals on, so it's a pretty good deal. And sure Bavaria is grand, could be better but does the job ;)

Fook all yore exotic beers. Prazky - Pratsky, who cares?

One only needs 24 for €24 Bavaria Crown Lager and 1 for €8.99 Buckfast Tonic Wine to have oneself a merry night. :pac:

Grolsch is 24x300ml for €15 in obriens. It is UK brewed grolsch and a small 300ml bottle but still 5%. Works out €2.08 per litre, i.e. almost a euro a can, but it is stronger than most 1euro beers. Just getting rid of all those bottles is a pain.

Karpackie is now 4x500mlx5% cans for €5 in a lot of places.

if you drink the bottles in the back garden, you can save them up and throw them at the cats that walk by on the wall. :D
