Our dog needs to socialise with other dogs.
I would like to know if there is a dog walking group or people interrested to make their dog socialise around Portlaoise.

Are there any good parks or forests around the Portlaoise? We were thinking of trying to organise a group walk up that way, but don't know anyone from the area to ask :o

Yes there is some nice place to walk:
Emo is easy access and at only 5 km from Portlaoise.
There is also a park near Portalington with a "spire" in the middle.
Else a bit further away there is the Slieve blooms mountain with nice long walks.
Theres maybe some others nice walks but we haven't discovered them yet.

Hi i live in portarlington and would be interested. Emo is great and the place with a spire Corrig wood is good also. In port u also have the lake which the dogs love this is a fav with locals.

I agree with Mary123, Corrig Wood and the lakes are both great. I never realised what a great swimmer my dog was until I brought her up to the lakes.

If you have small dogs Corrig Wood is great for exercise as there's a good few inclines.
